The Patch

The Colors:

Red: The sacrifices that must be made while achieving any worthwhile task, in this case, Karate-do.

White: Stands for purity.

Black: Is for persistence, or the willingness to never give up.

The Stars:
They signify the two karate styles that influenced our Martial Arts Foundation. Master Ei’ichi Miyazato’s Goju-ryu Karate & The Shorei System of Master Robert A. Trias.

The Yin Yang:

This symbol represents the natural balance of the universe, everything in perfect order.

 The Circles:

The outer circle stands for the eternal human spirit.
The inner circle represents the completeness of the Goju-ryu Karate System.

The Side Kick:

This silhouette was taken from the photograph of Shihan Larry T. Davenport in
1975.
